We are GROWING!!!!

Do you see it, look close....... Yes, the 13 pounds I gained since my last appt.! I was hoping to gain weight, since I really haven't the whole pregnancy, but I didn't expect it to be that much at one time. In a desperate need to make myself feel better about it, I looked back at my weight gain records with Trey. At this same time in my pregnancy I gained 10 pounds with him. It was the largest weight gain, at one time, my whole pregnancy. I am hoping I follow that same path with Marlee.
Anyways, Marlee's heartbeat was great and easy to find! She seems to be doing just fine. She is always moving and feels like she is doing flips while she still has the room. We are able to feel and see most of her movements if I am laying on my back, Trey loves it! He says, "She just kicked me!" It's really cute.
Trey loves her, talks to her, kisses my belly and tells her goodnight, he is going to be a great big brother.
Dr. Jardine did calm my fears regarding the c-section. I am scheduled for one in late September, at least 1 weeks prior to my due date, October 7th. Since, my natural delivery with Trey was not a great experience, Dr. Mancini recommended this one being delivered via c-section. I completely agreed until I began to ask others about their c-section experience and do research myself. I did learn some things I was unaware of and had many questions today. While some of the procedures you cannot change, for the most part it will probably be the best choice for me and my situation. She did say that we don't have to decide now that we can wait and see how large the baby gets.
The time is flying by, she will be here before we know it. We began to get our house ready by moving the office furniture to the barn so that Marlee can have her own little room. Now we can decide what bedding and colors we want in her room, pink of course! Going to take this family a little while to get used to pink walls, YIKES! LOL....
Look for the next update as we sweat through a HOT summer!

19 Weeks

We are now 19 weeks pregnant. Today was our sonogram day to find out the sex of the baby. I was a complete nervous wreck, which I have been for a while now, awaiting this day. We are proud to announce that we are having a Baby Girl!!! We are pretty sure we have a name picked out, but I will post an update as soon as it is set in stone. She was unable to get a clear view, but as many times as we looked there was never anything sticking up to say hello. LOL! Those of you with boys, know that it is very clear what it is when it is a boy. :-) We went to the mall to get a small photo album for the sonogram pictures and I must admit it was still a little strange for me to buy something pink, I still gravitated towards the blue section. We will quickly adjust as the house begins to fill with every shade of pink that there is.
The baby currently weighs 10 oz and looks perfect. I have gained 3 pounds, weighing 122 lbs, I should begin to steadily gain each month from now on. We will have another ultrasound at 30 weeks and our next appointment is June 8, 2010. My belly has grown a lot since my last pictures, so I hope you enjoy.

We are 16 weeks pregnant this week. Had our monthly doctors appointment yesterday where everything went great. The doctor was able to easily locate a fast, strong heartbeat. I have yet to gain any weight, still weighing in at 119 lbs.. However, they assure me that is nothing to be concerned about, the weight will all too soon arrive. I have included a couple pictures of my little bitty belly. My clothes are slowly getting tighter and tighter and there are a couple items I can't wear anymore.
Our next appointment is May 11th at 11:00am, at this appointment we will find out the sex of the baby!!! We are so excited! So, put your votes in now, will it be a BOY or a GIRL??? I will be sure to update the website as soon as possible after our next appointment.

I made this blog so that my close family and friends can follow my pregnancy without me having to post personal comments and pictures on facebook. I will post each month after my doctors appt. and I will try to include a picture for those that we don't get to see very often. I am still trying to figure this out, so bear with me.

Thanks
Nikki
